wow so much happened in the past 2 days. (besides studying) lol. so lets start from chronological order.
ah the class gathering. anyway i'm certainly aint photogenic. (and as i was explaining to cherrylene it's different from being ugly) haha. anyway, i was quite fearful of my classmates who were conspiring to tear down my house. thankfully, only ewe was happily jumping on my bed. lol damn it'd be nice taking a picture of that very unglam sight. haha and i hope you peeps had fun. mum was making so much noise about me being a bad host cos i ordered pizzas too late. okay my bad but seriously, she just went off like an angry radio. caught The Prestige with edlyn, rach, ying peng too after the others left. its totally awesome. absolutely 5 star show. haha it was funny tho observing
1. yingpeng trying to figure out who are the two protagonist (which subsequently came to be known Hot and Unhot guy. lol)
2. rach having no idea about what MAGIC was going on the stage lol. hence we kept replaying to show her haha.
oh and edlyn was quite quick in catching the show. but honestly, it's fantastic. beyond words to me. but as the sypnopsis says, "watch closely." dont blink or you'll get lost.
yep and this morning, had breakfast with mum + dad. it's uber funny cos dad was trying to use the one-for-one vouchers for spa/facial/massage and dad kept trying to suggest the kinky tub scrub treatment thing lol. mum was like no no facial and massage. and he'd secretly ask the receptionist (he tried two diff spas) about that particular treatment (whether it was available) before he asked about mum's choice haha. unfortunately/fortunately there were only free slots for facial + massage. then again, i cannot imagine my dad doing facial. and it was a totally random date hahha. it's nice seeing my parents back to this lovey-dovey (tho a tad mushy) state. haha
mum also was so happy about having acquired this jade pendant a few days back she couldnt stop talking about it. and her jade fetish is still continuing hence we went to chinatown to find the old shop ah ma was talking about. fortunately/unfortunately (depending on dad/mum's perspective haha) the shop was closed. lol but hey today while i was out on my cousins date (pin, mel and i) which also served the function of not interfering with my parents romantic plans for the day, mum
dragged?/brought?/
coerced? dad to the jade shop (where she bought her pendant) at beauty world. oh and on the way home from ah ma's house, she proudly proclaimed dad BOUGHT her a diamond. hahaha woman... are scary sometimes lol.
ah and i had this side thought. i am quite sceptical when it comes to jewelleries (ie. jade and other precious stones etc...) cos there are just so many fake ones around and normal people like me wouldnt be able to differentiate most of them. but seeing mum having this happiness radiating from acquiring that jade pendant, i realised something really important. At the end of the day, the true value of such things aint exactly restricted by whether it's real or fake, but by how it makes one feels. the same thing applies to say, religion. the conscious action of believing, is such a powerful tool.
yep back to the cousins date. it's a tradition that our family has from my brother, yuan shen and val. i'm glad we're making an effort to remain this close. now yuan pin, mel and i are hanging out just like our older siblings are. lol. it's quite a coincident that we (pin and i) and our brothers are the same age and mel's sister (Val) is like mel, a year older than (our brothers) and us. cool eh? haha so we went to catch ratatouille. pin got the tickets, i got the pop corn + the NYDC bill, and mel paid for the neo prints. haha. before i go to my virgin neo print encounter (excluding the time i took it in china with my buddies), i'd just like to give ratatouille a 4/5 rating. it got alittle draggy/sappy at times hence the last one star deduction. But, it's still a movie i'd strongly recommend to you all. Sis has been raving about it since she caught the film and came back from thailand (from her holiday with Figen, her german friend). anyway back to the neoprints. seriously, girls are scary. (2nd time i concur haha) i mean, it's absolutely strange being in this quite girly territory and pin and i were like whispering to each other, "eh i think we're like quite awkward...(random grumbling)". and we went into the machine, and started wondering how girls have so much fun doing those 1 to 10 poses haha. but hey, it was still quite an EXPERIENCE. although mel say i look V. bad in photos. haha but it's still a picture i'll be keeping in my trusty wallet for a long time to come. and cherrylene thinks i'm incestous for saying mel's quite hot - - please, my cousin is pretty. oh and to rach/cheryl who thinks my eye lashes are long, i realised today that mel's ones are twice as long and curly. pin is, according to mel, the white cute dude. haha. it was nice hanging out. it's our first cousin date, and many more are to come i'm sure.
above all, it's been a largely exciting day. and talking to en loong makes me realise that i tend to be careless with my tongue. sorry to all, who in one way or another, have been affected by this slithering(literary device
s used) tongue of mine.
